Africa takes a step ahead in ensuring meaningful implementation of Women Peace and Security Agenda in Africa.

A continental framework for reporting and monitoring on the implementation of Women Peace and Security Agenda will officially be launched on Monday February 4, 2019 at the United Nations, Economic Commission for Africa.
The Tool that has been in the making for the past 4 years, was adopted last year

The tool has been in the making for the past 4 years beginning 2014, when the Office of the Special Envoy (OSE) was endowed with the duty to develop a monitoring and evaluation tool on the implementation of the WPS agenda in Africa.

The OSE undertook series of technical consultations with member states, UN agencies, civil societies and centers of excellence forwarded inputs.

The PSC on 16 May 2018, has adopted the CRF underscoring the need for strict follow-up and continuous review in the future.

On Monday February, 4, 2019, the office of the special envoy will launch The Continental Result Framework (CRF) on the 33rd Session of GIMAC at UN, ECA, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Is a leading African Women’s civil society network dedicated to Women empowerment and women’s right promotion. It is a Pre- Consultative meeting towards AU Summit on mainstreaming gender equality to influence the decision of the heads of States.
