Promoting Africa’s growth and economic development by championing citizen inclusion and increased cooperation and integration of African states.
Promoting Africa’s growth and economic development by championing citizen inclusion and increased cooperation and integration of African states.
Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E. Mr. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, was appointed to lead the AU institutional reforms process. He appointed a pan-African committee of experts to review and submit proposals for a system of governance for the AU that would ensure the organisation was better placed to address the challenges facing the continent with the aim of implementing programmes that have the highest impact on Africa’s growth and development so as to deliver on the vision of Agenda 2063.
The AU offers exciting opportunities to get involved in determining continental policies and implementing development programmes that impact the lives of African citizens everywhere. Find out more by visiting the links on right.

Background Information
MAISHA is an African Union (AU)-European Union (EU) joint initiative, showcasing the power of collaboration and co-creation. It exemplifies Africa-Europe cross-border cooperation and intercultural dialogue, spreading shared values of coexistence and humanity. Initially launched in 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as a musical journey, MAISHA has evolved into a dynamic cultural movement uniting diverse art forms to celebrate human expression.
The Afro-European cultural experiment began with 12 talented musicians selected from 300 applicants to participate in a two-week residency in Addis Ababa. The ensemble, featuring artists from Ethiopia, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, France, Italy, Poland, and Hungary/Tanzania, created 12 original pieces, blending crossover Jazz and Worldbeat. The project culminated in a 12-track album and performances in Addis Ababa, Kigali, and Brussels.
Building on its success, MAISHA continues with a new focus on Dance this year, and will continue to embrace various art forms such as fashion, street art, painting, photography, cuisine, cinema, and theatre in the coming years. Each edition will start in Addis Ababa and be replicated in different African and European cities, reflecting the true spirit of the Africa-Europe partnership, co-creation, and cultural cooperation.
Join us in celebrating the rich African and European cultures, and witness the transformative power of art to unite and inspire. Register to attend here
