H.E. Kwesi Quartey, Deputy Chairperson of AUC, has received a team of 10 Recruitment Experts selected from the 5 Regional Blocs to help develop and revamp the recruitment system for the Commission. The meeting took place today, 22 July 2019, in his office at the AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The aim of the exercise is to help the AU retain high-quality African talent to push through the Agenda 2063.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 17 July 2019: A meeting of African Union (AU) bringing together governments, donor agencies, African and international aid groups have explored ways of increasing investment in local humanitarian organizations and promoting their leadership in major response operations.

The conference, co-organized by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Government of Switzerland, took place from 15-16 July 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

UNDP and AUC join forces to implement an AYWL Fellowship programme to develop the next generation of young African women leaders and experts to serve Africa and the world.
