The objectives of the STC under the theme “Poverty Eradication Through Strategic Investments at National and Regional Levels Towards Social Development, Labour and Employment in Africa” is to consider investment strategies for poverty reduction policies at national and regional levels towards social development through empowering the vulnerable and marginalized groups to improve their access to livelihood opportunities.

The High Level Panel on Digital Cooperation has launched the Africa Dialogue Series on digital cooperation to discuss and identify areas in which cooperation across borders, industries and sectors, can mobilize efforts for the development of effective digital policies and for the future of Africa’s digital transformation.

March 25, 2019 – Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: The African Union Commission’s Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture, H.E Amb. Josefa Sacko has been named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Climate Policy 2019 by Apolitical, a peer-to-peer learning platform for governments for her efforts towards influencing climate policy on the continent.

Amb. Sacko was named among the top 20 on the listing announced in London.
