30 January 2018, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; The African Union Commission officially opened the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA) office at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The launch was officiated by the African Union Commission Deputy Chairperson Amb.
The Office of the Legal Counsel finalized the Agreement between African Union and Tunisia to Host African Institute for Statistics
Addis Ababa, 30 January 2018–The Office of the Legal Counsel finalized The Agreement between African Union and the Republic of Tunisia to Host African Institute on 28 January 2018, after a last round of negotiations conducted between Ambassador Dr. Namira Negm, the Legal Counsel of the African Union and Tunisian Government Officials in Tunis in December 2017. H.E. Prof. Victor Harison, the Commissioner of Economic Affairs of the African Union signed with H.E. Mr. Khemaies Jhinaoui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia the said Host Agreement.

Honourable Minister of Livestock and Fisheries of Ethiopia,
Distinguished Ambassadors and Invited Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am pleased to be here with you on the premises of the PanAfrican Veterinary Vaccine Centre. This Centre is an illustration of the activities carries out by the African Union on a daily basis to support the development of the livestock sector, thus contributing to the socio-economic progress of the continent.
The Seventh Meeting of the AU-EU-UN Task Force at the Working Level
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 31 January 2018 - The AU-EU-UN Task Force on the Stranded Migrants situation in Libya held the Seventh meeting of the Task Force in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The meeting was chaired by the Special Envoy of the Chairperson, H.E. Madam Amira Elfadil, and Commissioner for Social Affairs and attended by the AU Special Representative for Libya and Head of the AU Liaison Office in Libya now based in Tunis, Tunisia. The meeting was also attended by the EU Ambassador to the AU and the directors from the IOM and UNHCR.
The Office of the Legal Counsel has conducted the Election of the president of the Pan African University (PAU)
Addis Ababa, 28 January 2018– the Office of the Legal Counsel of African Union Commission is pleased to announce the Election of Mr. NZINZ Pierre Dominique (Gabon) as President of the Pan African University (PAU) Council for a three – Year term. He was elected as the President of the Council during the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council held 25-26 January 2018, Addis Ababa Ethiopia.
