Institutional Reform of the African Union is the Major Focus of the 11th AU Extraordinary Summit Underway in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa 5th November 2018: Under the framework of the 11th African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit, the AU Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) officially opened on Monday 5th November 2018, at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa. The meeting brought together the Permanent Representatives of the 55 AU member states based in Addis Ababa and key AU officials, among others.

Addis Ababa 14th November 2018: The 20th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) opened today, 14th November 2018, at AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with calls highlighting the need for reform of the AU in order for the continental organization to achieve peace, development, and the Africa we want.

Announcement of the Eleventh Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union
The 11th Extraordinary Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) will take place from 5th to 18th November 2018.
Among other issues, the summit is expected to discuss: Update on the AU Institutional Reform process including reform of the AU Commission, mandate of the AU Development Agency (AUDA) and Financing the African Union.
The extraordinary summit will be held at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as scheduled below:

Visit of the Chairperson of the Commission to Nigeria
