The Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) have elected H.E Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of Comoros, as the new Chairperson of the African Union for the year 2023.
The President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU), President Azali Assoumani has pledged support for the realisation of the mandate of the Pan-African Parliament as the legislative arm of the AU.
H.E. Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU) will today open the Second Ordinary Session of the Sixth Parliament of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) set to kick off on Monday, 15 May 2023.
