The Chairperson of the AU Commission , H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf met with H.E. Khaled El-Enany, Director-General of @UNESCO, at its Headquarters in Paris yesterday.

Discussions centred on the complementary mandates of the African Union and UNESCO, with a focus on advancing collaboration in the areas of culture, education, as well as knowledge management.

H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, was received in Paris by H.E. Emmanuel Macro during the 3rd AU–France Strategic Dialogue. He held constructive & fruitful talks with the President & H.E. Jean-Noël Barrot, @jnbarrot, Minister for Europe & Foreign Affairs 

Discussions reaffirmed a strengthened Africa–Europe partnership, focusing on peace and security, multilateralism, and G7/G20 alignment, with emphasis on African-led solutions, constitutional order, UNSC reform, and cooperation on climate, energy, and health.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, warmly congratulates H.E. Ismail Omar Guelleh on his re-election as President of the Republic of Djibouti.

The AUC Chairperson takes note of the official results announced by Djibouti’s electoral authority, which confirmed the outcome of the presidential election.

He commends the people of Djibouti for their peaceful participation in the electoral process, underscoring their continued commitment to democratic governance, national cohesion, and stability.
