Cairo, Egypt 26 November 2015: The African Union Commission, Department of Infrastructure and Energy conducted a Training Workshop on Advanced Small Hydropower (SHP) Systems for Member States from 22nd to 27th November 2015 in Cairo, Egypt. This Training Workshop is the third in a series of capacity building activities on hydropower systems for energy experts in African countries.

African Union to deploy election observers to the Republic of Seychelles’ December 2015 Presidential Election
Addis Ababa, 26 November 2015: Following an invitation from authorities in the Republic of Seychelles, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Her Excellency Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, has approved the deployment of seventeen (17) short-term election observers to the upcoming presidential election in the Republic of Seychelles scheduled to take place from 3 - 5 December 2015.

Addis Ababa, 27 November 2015: The Department of Political Affairs (DPA) of the African Union Commission received today Young Leaders from the Youth Leadership Training Programme organized by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Foundation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

During the visit to the DPA the group of young leaders received background information on the history of the OAU and the AU. The young leaders also received information on the mandate of the African Union Commission in general and DPA in particular.

Six new Permanent Reps present Credentials; one bids farewell to the AU

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 26 November 2015: Six new Ambassadors to Ethiopia and Permanent Representatives to the African Union have presented their Credentials to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, and one Ambassador bade his farewell. The letters of credence were presented individually, on Thursday 26 November 2015, at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Welcoming each of the new six Permanent Representatives, the AU Commission Chairperson also wished each of them a successful tour of duty.
