Addis Abeba, 21 December 2017: The Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union, Moussa Faki Mahamat, welcomes the signing by the South Sudanese parties of an Agreement on Cessation of Hostilities, Protection of Civilians and Humanitarian Access, as part of the IGAD-led Revitalization Forum that opened in Addis Ababa on 17 December 2017.

The first phase of the IGAD-led Forum for the Revitalization of the South Sudan Peace Process has come to a close.
We welcome the successful conclusion of your deliberations, marked by the signing of an Agreement on Cessation of Hostilities, Protection of Civilians and Humanitarian Access.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 30TH ORDINARY SESSION
THE AFRICAN UNION SUMMIT
The 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) will take place from 22nd to 29th January 2018, under the theme “Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation”.
The Summit will be held at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as follows:
