Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the @_AfricanUnion Commission, bid farewell to H.E. Hu Changchun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the African Union.
H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the AU Commission, today received H.E. Lady Justice Imani Daud Aboud, President of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Discussions highlighted the Court’s jurisprudential and institutional milestones since its inception. Justice Aboud underscored the need for enhanced cooperation by AU Member States.
The Chairperson commended the Court’s contributions to the continental human rights architecture and urged Member States yet to ratify and domesticate the Court’s Protocol.
This morning, the Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali received H.E. Michael Upton, New Zealand's Ambassador to Ethiopia and Representative to the AU. Their discussions focused on strengthening AU–New Zealand cooperation in peace, development,& climate resilience.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission H.E. @ymahmoudali paid a courtesy call on H.E. Madam Adanech Abebe, the Mayor of Addis Ababa. He commended her for the city's transformation & conveyed the gratitude to the host city of the AU. He reaffirmed his commitment to deepening ties, noting Addis Ababa's potential to share its experiences with other African cities.
The Mayor congratulated the Chairperson on his election & reiterated her readiness to further strengthen cooperation with the AUC for the benefit of both the city and the continent.

This report highlighted the achievements,challenges occurred and comments made by the technical experts on the topic as follows, Digital Transformation Strategy (DTS) for Africa, Digital Health Strategy and Digital Agriculture Strategy.
This afternoon, H.E. @ymahmoudali, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, convened a strategic consultation with Ambassadors of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and the A3+ (Algeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia) in Addis Ababa. The deliberation focused on reinforcing Africa’s role in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development.
The Chairperson underscored the imperative of enhanced multilateral cooperation to address common challenges and affirmed the AU Commission’s commitment to institutionalising this dialogue platform.
