Doha, Qatar , 13th January 2019: The State of Qatar and the African Union Commission (AUC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a monetary grant of $20 million that represents the State of Qatar's support towards the reintegration of vulnerable African migrants.
The State of Qatar and the AUC established this grant to support the safe reintegration of repatriated migrants in their countries of origin.

Addis Ababa,  20 January 2019: The African Union Commission takes note of the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Democratic Repubic of the Congo proclaiming the final results of the presidential and national and provincial and legislative elections of 30 December 2018. 

The Commission calls on all concerned to work for the preservation of peace and stability and the promotion of national harmony in their country. 

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat met with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today to discuss the advanced stage of preparations ahead of the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union that will be held on 10-11 February 2019 at the African Union Commission headquarters in Addis Abeba.
