Cairo, 22-29 Feb 2016: The African Union Commission (AUC) and the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS) held a series of extensive consultative meetings at the Headquarters of the LAS in Cairo to discuss the implementation of Resolution2 of the 3rd Africa –Arab Summit, the preparation of the upcoming 4th Africa-Arab Summit and 9th Senior Officials Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Africa –Arab Partnership.

1st March 2016- Meeting with the United States Charge d' Affaires to the African Union Amb. Susan D. Page and AUC Commissioner for Trade and Industry Mrs Fatima Haram Acyl on preparatory issues of the AUC- US High
Level Dialogue (2016). The meeting between the AU Commission and the US Administration, members of congress and other stakeholders always thrives to deepen relationship between the AU and the US. We also engaged on matters of AGOA, in its current form and the need to continue with the dialogue.

Saharawi Republic – 29 February 2016: The call for the decolonization, liberation and independence of Africa’s last remaining colony was increasingly re-echoed in Western Sahara and around the world, when the Saharawi people celebrated the 40th anniversary of the proclamation of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) on 27 February, 2016.

Addis Ababa, February 29, 2015 -The Bureau of the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Agriculture, Rural Development, Water and Environment met today at the African Union Commission Headquarters to review and adopt the draft ministerial report from the inaugural session that was held on October 5-9, 2015. `

The Directorate of Medical Services celebrated the day with the Slogan:Less Sugar. More Life; Diabetes Kills one Person Every 7 Seconds; and Change Today for Healthier Tomorrow under the umbrella of the Theme: “Live Healthy, Prevent Diabetes”.The activities were highly attended by AU, African Member States Staff as well as Ministers and Ambassadors.
