Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 31 January 2016: The Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy, H.E Mrs. Elham Mahmood Ibrahim during her press conference at the margin of the 26th AU Summit which brought together renowned media representatives from all over the continent at the African Union Commission discussed the Theme: “Infrastructure and its contribution to Human Rights”. The Commissioner was addressing the press conference in the presence of Mr. Baba Moussa, Director for Infrastructure and Energy at the AU Commission.

Addis Ababa, 30 January 2016: H.E. Dr. Aisha Laraba Abdullahi, Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission met with H.E. Mr. PekkaOlaviHaavisto, Special envoy for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland. The Minister was accompanied by a high-level delegation.

The Commissioner for Political Affairs welcomed H.E. Mr. Pekka, and thanked him and his delegation for visiting the Department of Political Affairs (DPA) of the African Union Commission (AUC).

Addis Ababa, 28 January 2016: H.E. Dr. Aisha Laraba Abdullahi, Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission met with Mr. Savas Metin, Secretary General of KismeYok Mu. He was accompanied by the Regional Director for Africa.

The Commissioner for Political Affairs welcomed Delegation and thanked them for their continuous visits to the Department of Political Affairs (DPA) of the African Union Commission (AUC). Dr. Abdullahi also thanked the Secretary General for the humanitarian aid provided the Saharawi Refugees in Algeria.

She was accompanied by the Norwegian Ambassador to Ethiopia and other Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Addis Ababa 31 January 2016- The African Union Heads of State and Government during their Twenty-Sixth Ordinary Session on 31 January 2016 in Addis Ababa adopted the African Space Policy and Strategy as the first of the concrete steps to realize an African Outer space Programme, as one of the flagship programmes of the AU Agenda 2063.
