Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 7 March 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and two others in the leadership of the AU Commission have been nominated for the prestigious New African Woman Awards 2016.

The AU Commission Chairperson was nominated alongside the AUC Commissioner for Trade and Industry, H.E Fatima Haram Acyl and the AU Special Envoy on women peace and security, Ms. Benita Diop. They are among the few exemplary women leaders that are up for the award in the Politics and Public Office category.

Tianjin University Hosts the 2016 Training Programme of Education For AUC Officials

Tianjin, China, 7th March 2016 – In order to improve the educational and cultural understanding and exchanges between China and the African Union Commission, and also to implement the MoU signed by Tianjin University of Technology and Education (TUTE) and the African Union Commission (AUC) in December 2015, TUTE invites twenty (20) officials from AUC to attend the program in China. The program is designed to conduct various kinds of activities to strengthen the friendship, mutual trust and the advantage of cooperation between China and the AUC.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 4 March 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has welcomed Ghana’s decision to introduce a visa-on-arrival policy for citizens of African Union Member States. The President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, announced the decision in his State of the Nations address to the Ghanaian Parliament on 25 February 2016.

The open-skies agreement would allow the national airlines of both countries to operate freely, with no limitations in the airspace of the other.
