H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

AFRICAN COURT ON HUMAN AND PEOPLES’ RIGHTS BEGINS 39TH ORDINARY SESSION IN ARUSHA 9-20 NOVEMBER
Arusha, 10 November, 2015: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) yesterday started its 39th Ordinary Session of the Judges to run until 20 November, 2015 at its seat in Arusha, the United Republic of Tanzania.
The Judges, among others, will deliberate on over 30 applications and requests for Advisory Opinions.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 14 November 2015: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has sent a message of condolence and solidarity to French President, François Hollande, the people of France and families of victims, following multiple terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, 13 November 2015.
The AU Commission Chairperson wrote: “I learnt with shock and disbelief of the terrorist attacks in Paris, France, while travelling back from the Migration Summit in Valletta, Malta.”
