The Republic of Uganda deposits the instrument of ratification of the African Medicines Agency (AMA)

The Republic of Uganda became the eighteenth (18th) African Union (AU) member state to deposit the instrument of ratification of the African Medicines Agency (AMA) at the AU Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Republic of Uganda ratified the Treaty on the 11 November 2021 in Kampala, Uganda.

AU- Common African Agro-Parks Programme (CAAPs) proposed as an Agenda 2063 Flagship Programme for the next 10 Years Implementation Plan.

The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment of the AUC in collaboration with the African Export Import Bank (Afrexim Bank), the Secretariat of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) organized the Second meeting of the Common African Agro-Parks (CAAPs) Steering Committee (CAAPs-SC) on at the margin of the Intra-African Trade Fair in Durban (IATF 2021), Durban South Africa. The meeting was held on 18th November 2021 in Durban, South Africa.

African experts, stakeholders and leaders in the area Road Safety have celebrated the African Road Safety Day this year on the 21st November 2021. The African Union Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the World Bank and the Office of the United Nations Secretary General Special Envoy for Road Safety have joined hands to discuss Road Safety priorities in the African continent and raise awareness on the status of road safety on the continent. The ceremony which took place on 24th November 2021, was organized through videoconference.

The stakeholders, who also include scientists, academics and development partners, are meeting under the banner of the Pan-African programme called Global Monitoring for the Environment and Security, and Africa (GMES and Africa).
