Addis-Abeba, le 19 août 2019: Faisant suite à l’adoption par les deux chambres du Parlement de la loi portant recomposition de la Commission Électorale Indépendante en Côte d’Ivoire et à sa promulgation, le Président de la Commission de l’Union Africaine se félicite de ce que l’arrêt rendu par la Cour Africaine des Droits de l’Homme et des Peuples ait été pris en compte tel qu'en atteste le préambule des motifs du projet de loi introduit au Parlement.

19 August 2019, Addis Abeba: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat hails the appointment of HE Abdallah Hamdock as prime minister of the Transitional Government of Sudan following the formal signature of the power-sharing constitutional decree on 17 August 2019.
“This historic achievement is the culmination of months of negotiations and the result of the steadfast and peaceful resolve of the Sudanese people, especially the women and Youth, for a democratic transition in Sudan,” said Chairperson Faki.

Monitoring and Evaluation of Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis control activities in Zambia, 10- 14 June 2019
Within the framework of PATTEC initiative the PATTEC Coordination Office is mandated to monitor and evaluate the implementation progress made by member states towards tsetse and trypanosomiasis control and eradication. In line with this, a situation analysis mission to evaluate the implementation of tsetse and trypanosomiasis control interventions comprising Dr. Gift Wiseman Wanda, Acting Coordinator of the Pan African Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis (T&T) Eradication Campaign (PATTEC), and Mr Girma Urgeacha, GIS database specialist was undertaken to Zambia from 10 to 14 June 2019.
