AU Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy and Tourism: Tourism supports 21 million jobs in Africa

The African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure, Energy and Tourism, H.E. Dr. Amani Abou-Zeid said that the Tourism industry employs over 21 million people in Africa, hence accounting for 6.5 per cent of the total work force in the African continent.
The Commissioner made her remarks at the 61st United Nations World Tourism Organization Commission for Africa, Conference, in Abuja held under the theme “Tourism Statistics: A Catalyst for Development” from 4 to 6 June 2018.

AU-Korea short term training programme 2018 Call for Applications
Within the framework of AU-Korea Cooperation, the Government of the Republic of Korea has made training offers to the AFRICAN UNION through the African Union Commission Department of Human Resources, Science and Technology (HRST).
A short-term training course of 2 weeks in ‘Trade Facilitation through Modernization of Administration in Customs’ will be offered from 2nd – 15th September 2018 in Cheonan and Seongnam, South Korea. The Language of Instruction will be in English. The Course Information is attached for more details.
