Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

Tumusiime Rhoda Peace Commissioner for the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture (DREA) at the African union Commission (AUC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The agreement will create a working partnership that enables both the AUC and the FAO to pursue collaborative activities and projects in order to provide technical assistance for the execution of the Technical Cooperation Project (TCP).

The DRA Chairman was accompanied by the Chairman of the Follow-Up Committee for Darfur, Dr. Amin Hassan Omer.
Addis Ababa, 07 March 2015: The African Union Commission (AUC) and the Network for African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI) have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the two parties to facilitate the development and integration agenda of the African Union.

Dr. Aisha Laraba Abdullahi, Commissioner for Political Affairs of the African Union Commission and Ambassador Gary QUINCE, Head of the EU Delegation to the AU met today at the AU Headquarters to endorse a joint Action Plan in the area of Human Rights and Transitional Justice in Africa.
The two sides expressed their appreciation to the high-level of cooperation that exists between the AU and EU in the area of human rights.
