Letter of Invitation

 

The African Union Commission (the “Client”) has been allocated grant funds (the “Grant”) from which are administered by the International Development Association (IDA) (the “Bank”) and executed by the African Union Commission (“the Client”). The Client intends to apply the funds to eligible payments under the contract for which this Request for Proposals is issued.  Payments by the Bank will be made only at the request of the Client and upon approval by the Bank, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the grant agreement. The grant agreement prohibits a withdrawal from the grant account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of the Bank, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. No party other than the Client shall derive any rights from the grant agreement or have any claims to the proceeds of the grant.

 

The African Union Commission (AUC) now invites call for technical and financial proposal for the following trainings services from eligible and qualified trainings service providers.  The list of training includes the following:

Diplomacy and Negotiation Skills  

Diplomatic Etiquette and Protocol 

Fraud Awareness Risks and Control 

Leadership for Performance Management 

Management Skills for Administrative Professionals  

Influencing and Negotiation Skills 

Strategic Planning  

Project Planning and Development 

Internal Organization Risk Management 

Communication and Presentation Skills  

Leadership  Development for Women Managers 

Customer Relationship Management

Program Management Foundation.

 

The African Union Commission (AUC) invites  experienced training companies  to submit technical and financial proposals in hard copy (Email technical and financial offers are not acceptable) to provide one or more training services (hereinafter called “Training Services”) from the list of trainings  above. More details scope and requirements on the training Services are provided in the Terms of Reference attached herewith.

 

The selection method Selection Based on the Consultants’ Qualifications (CQS) format as described in this document, in accordance with the policies of the Bank detailed in the Consultants’ Guidelines which can be found at the following website: www.worldbank.org/procurement.

 

Interested eligible training service providers may obtain further information from African Union Commission (AUC) at the address below from 8.00AM up to 5.00PM from Monday to Friday starting from February 22, 2017.

  

Bidders may request for clarifications no less than 7 days from the for submission, from The Chairperson, Tender Board, African Union Commission, Telephone number (+251) 11 5517700, Ext 4371, Email tender@africa-union.org

 

Training proposals shall be valid for a period of 90 days.  Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 17th of March, 2017 at 3:00pm Addis Time. 

 

Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person. 

 

Bids will be opened at AUC meeting Hall, 17th of March at 3:30pm.The Outer envelope should bear the name and address of the bidder and the training title.
