The Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. @ymahmoudali, received H.E. Mr. João Cravinho, EU Special Representative for the Sahel, & H.E. Annette Weber, Special Rep for the Horn of Africa.
They held constructive exchanges on the evolving peace and security landscapes in the Sahel & Horn of Africa, & underscored the importance of coordinated multilateral action in support of regional solutions.
The EU envoys commended the Chairperson’s leadership in preventive diplomacy & reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to supporting AU-led efforts in mediation, stabilisation, & conflict resolution across the continent.
