          H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

        2012 Theme:
          “Promoting Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance through ICT”

         

        Since the WSIS (World Summit on Information Society, 2003 & 2005) and the CONNECT AFRICA (2007) Summits, the AU Commission continued to reaffirm the importance of ICTs in the process of Africa’s (economic, social and political) development to develop African conducive environment. Thus e-Africa identity contributes to the Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance for ensuring sustainable development.
          This year, in accordance with the theme, the ICT quiz will focus on e-africa identity, but also Security issues, especially in IT management.
          Therefore, you are invited to particiapte to this quiz which aims to sensitize you about Cyberspace security issues. Each day, from Monday 19th of November to Friday 24th November, you will be asked some questions to enable you to familiarize yourself with ICT Security issues and to win a prize pack:

        1/ an Usb Key (8 Gb)
          2/ a beautiful Tshirt
          3/ a paper note pad
          4/ a certificate

        And for the winners of the winners (about 6):

        4/ a Tablet PC (Apple iPad 3 or Galaxy Tab 10.1)

        NB: 

        •     35 winners/day (X5) (20 from outside, 15 within the AUC), chosen by drawing lots, will receive a prize pack 
        •     6 winners (drawn from the total of 175 winners) will receive a Tablet PC
