Africa is committed to accelerate the establishment of its own financial institutions to address the existing challenges of the current global financial architecture that does not favor Africa’s transformation and development needs.
In a world increasingly reliant on digital connectivity, access to financial services remains a crucial determinant of economic empowerment and social development. Unfortunately, millions of Africans are excluded from the formal financial system, trapped in a cycle of poverty and limited opportunities, primarily due to limited investments in digital infrastructure especially in the rural areas.
The African Union is convening a consultative forum to assess the implementation of the African Union Financial Institutions (AUFIs).
