ONLINE ACCREDITATION FOR JOURNALISTS NOW AVAILABLE

The Directorate of Information and Communication (DIC) of the African Union Commission (AUC) hereby announces that, the online accreditation process for journalists and the media coverage of the 32nd AU Summit, scheduled to take place from 15 January to 11 February 2019, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has been launched on the AU website: www.au.int

Journalists interested in covering the upcoming AU Summit should register through the following link: https://au.int/en/summit/32/accreditation

A media advisory note explaining all the detailed arrangements for media coverage of the 32nd AU Summit will be posted soon on the Summit web page: https://au.int/en/summit/32

Meanwhile representatives of the media are kindly informed that the 32nd African Union Summit is scheduled to take place as follows:

15 - 16 January 2019: Thirty Seventh (37th) Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives’ Committee (PRC).
Venue: Medium Conference Hall, New Conference Center, AUC

07 - 08 February 2019: Thirty-Fourth (34th) Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, (Ministerial).
Venue: (Nelson Mandela Hall), New Conference Center, AUC

10 - 11 February 2019: Thirty-Second (32nd) Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
Venue: (Nelson Mandela Plenary Hall) New Conference Center, AUC

The theme of the Summit is: “Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced Persons: Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa”.

Journalists are invited to cover all the public sessions open to the media.
