H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

The African Migration Research Digest (AMRD), an initiative of the African Centre for the Study and Research on Migration, provides insights into recent publications and research on African migration issues. 18 March 2023, Addis Ababa: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission H.E. Moussa Faki Mahamat concluded a two day working visit to Burundi.
Upon arrival in Bujumbura, the Chairperson was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Albert Shingiro, Ambassador Willy Nyamitwe, Permanent Representative of Burundi to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the AU, and other high-ranking goverment officials.
