The African Union Commission Chairperson Redeploys a Technical Expert Mission to Observe the 6 October 2019 Legislative and 13 October 2019 Presidential Run-Off Elections in Tunisia
Addis Ababa 03rd October 2019 : The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat has redeployed a Technical Expert Mission in the Republic of Tunisia from 3 to 17 October 2019 to observe the 6 October 2019 Legislative and 13 October 2019 Presidential Run-Off Elections in Tunisia. The Expert Mission also observed the first round of presidential elections which took place on 15 September 2019.

The Chairperson and the Ambassador exchanged views on the importance of multilateralism and their readiness to strengthen collaboration in addressing issues of mutual concern, including Peace and Security, Development, Migration and Climate Change.

Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, 26 September 2019: The second Policy Dialogue on the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) wrapped today after 48 African Union Member States and PIDA Stakeholders having considered a large number of recommendations that highlighted the need for AU member States to renew their focus to the development of the second phase of PIDA, which will run from 2021 to 2030.

High Level Delegation from SIDA Visits AUC
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - 30th September, 2019: A High Level delegation from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), led by the Director General of SIDA, Ms Carin Jämtin, visited the African Union Commission to discuss the progress, challenges and opportunities within the Priority Joint Labour Migration Project, which is a 9 million USD three-year project funded by SIDA and jointly implemented by International Organization for Migration (IOM) and International Labour Organization (ILO).
