Tangier, Kingdom of Morocco- 16 November 2019: H.E. Dr Amani Abou-Zeid, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy took part in the 12th Annual International Forum MEDays, running in Tangier, Morocco from November 13-16. This year’s edition was organized under the theme “Global distrust crisis: Facing subversion and uncertainties”. The event was attended by 4,000 participants from across the Continent and elsewhere.

Addis Ababa, 18 November 2019: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat, has decided the deployment of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the 27 November 2019 General Elections in the Republic of Namibia. The 40 short term observers are deployed from 20 November to 2 December  2019.

Nairobi, November 18, 2019: A three-day Humanitarian Symposium on Gender Dimension to Forced Displacement in Africa; Towards Durable Solutions, commenced in Nairobi, Kenya, with Member States, UNHCR, Partners, the Civil Society, the Academia and other humanitarian actors in attendance.

The Symposium, which is the 7th edition, is part of the activities lined up for the theme of the Year 2019, the Year of Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displaced: Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacement in Africa.
