Bangui, 06 March 2017: The African Union Commission (AUC) Department of Political Affairs through its Democracy and Electoral Assistance Unit has commenced a ten-day training of trainers capacity building workshop for the Autorité Nationale des Elections (ANE), using the BRIDGE (Building Resources for Democracy, Governance and Elections) Train the Facilitator (TtF) curriculum.

African Union Commission in partnership with Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and New Technologies of Central African Republic organized a capacity building workshop to support the establishment of Internet Exchange Point in Central African Republic from 04-08 April 2016. Internet Society has facilitated the workshop.
The workshop is a continuation of the support through the African Internet Exchange System (AXIS) project to Member states that do not have Internet Exchange Points.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – 13 February 2016: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has called for smooth and peaceful proceedings in the upcoming Presidential run-off and legislative elections in the Central African Republic (CAR). She welcomed the calm atmosphere under which the first round of general elections took place on 30 December 2015, “despite evident organizational and security challenges”.

Les membres du G8: Union africaine (UA), Nations Unies (UN), Union Européenne (UE), Communauté Economique des Etats de l’Afrique Centrale (CEEAC), Etats Unis, France, Banque Mondiale et Médiation, se sont réunis à Bangui, capitale de la République Centrafricaine dans le cadre des élections présidentielle et législatives prévues le 30 décembre 2015.

A cette occasion, les membres du G8 se félicitent du climat de paix qui prévaut dans le pays et de l’esprit consensuel qui anime les différents acteurs impliqués dans le processus.
