Ethiopia deposits instruments of ratification of AfCFTA
Addis Abeba, 10 April 2019: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission received the instruments of ratification of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) from the representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia today in Addis Abeba.

Statement of the Chairperson of the Commission on the situation in Libya
Addis Ababa, 5 April 2019: The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, is deeply concerned by the heightened tension currently prevailing in Libya. He calls on all parties to respect the lives and safety of civilians, and to resume, without delay, the inclusive political dialogue for the swift resolution of the crisis in the country.
The Chairperson of the Commission warns against any foreign interference in Libya's internal affairs.
