Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E. Mr. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, was appointed to lead the AU institutional reforms process. He appointed a pan-African committee of experts to review and submit proposals for a system of governance for the AU that would ensure the organisation was better placed to address the challenges facing the continent with the aim of implementing programmes that have the highest impact on Africa’s growth and development so as to deliver on the vision of Agenda 2063.

Lilongwe, Malawi: From 16 to 17 October 2018, an AU delegation undertook an assessment mission in prelude to the Summit of the Ten Heads of State championing Education, Science and Technology (C10) scheduled to take place from 2 to 3 November 2018 in Lilongwe, Malawi. The aim of the assessment mission was to assess the preparedness of the host government of Malawi to host the Summit, and agree on minimum requirements to ensure success, as enshrined in a formal Hosting Agreement.
Lilongwe, Malawi, 11th May 2018- Ahead of the Africa Day Celebration which falls on 25th May, 2018, the African Union Southern Africa Regional Office (AU-SARO), in collaboration with the Malawi Government and the African Group of Ambassadors in Malawi, on Saturday, 19th May 2018, organized Sports activities comprising Aerobics in which everyone interested participated and a social soccer match between Principal Secretaries of the government of Malawi and members of the Diplomatic Corps in Malawi at the Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe.
Lilongwe, 15th May, 2018: The African Union Commission (AUC) has been on a two-day preparatory Mission to the Republic of Malawi for the hosting of the Summit of the Committee of ten Heads of State and Government (C10), Championing Education, Science and Technology in Africa, scheduled to take place this year.
This follows the offer by Malawian President, Professor Peter Mutharika to host the first summit of the C10 in 2018.
