The eighth Steering Committee meeting of the AU-PATTEC was held on 28th September 2019 at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Conference Centre back to back with the 35th ISCTRC and 18th PATTEC Coordinators’ meeting. The key PATTEC Steering Committee members shown in Appendix 2 were present and the agenda was fully discussed. The Steering Committee meeting was chaired by Professor Ahmed Elsawalhy, Director of AU-IBAR on behalf of H.E. Amb. Josefa L.C. Sacko, Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture.

Ibadan, Nigeria: The Pan African University Institute for Life and Earth Sciences including Health and Agriculture (PAULESI) held its Matriculation Ceremony of the 2018-2019 academic year on 12 July 2019.

The former President of the Pan-African Parliament, (PAP) Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka AMADI will be buried in his home country, Nigeria at Amii-Akabo on 5th April 2019.

Abuja, Nigeria 23 February 2019- The Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to the 2019 General Elections in Nigeria, H.E Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe, has reiterated his call for the maintenance of a calm and peaceful atmosphere during the voting process and also after the announcement of the results. The former Ethiopian Prime Minister was speaking as he witnessed the start of the voting at Wuse Zone 3 Junior Secondary School in Abuja today.
