Addis Ababa, 25 July 2017: In response to an invitation from the Government and the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Rwanda, the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, His Excellency Moussa Faki Mahamat, has approved the deployment of a short-term African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) to observe the upcoming Presidential election in the Republic of Rwanda scheduled for 4 August 2017.

Kigali, Rwanda 21st June 2017: The commemoration of the Continental Africa Public Service Day kicks off today 21 June 2017 in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda. This event will be celebrated till 23 June 2017, at Kigali Convention Center (KCC). The commemoration of the APSD takes place at national and continental levels. The continental celebration is a biennial event while the AU Member States are mandated to celebrate the National Day, every year.

H.E Dr. Amani ABOU-ZEID, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy of African Union commission, has visited the Rwanda Internet Exchange Point on 11 May 2017. The Rwanda Internet Exchange Point is one of the IXPs from Eastern Africa region selected by African Union Commission (AUC) through the African Internet Exchange System Project for the grant support to become one of the regional internet exchange points.
