Communiqué on the participation of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission in the Extraordinary Summit on the Free Trade Area
Kigali, 16 March 2018: African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, today, to take part in the African Union Extraordinary Summit on the African Continental Free Trade Area, on 21 March 2018, as well as in preparatory meetings at the level of the Permanent Representatives Committee and the Executive Council. He will also take part in the Business Forum that will be held on the margins of the Summit, and take the opportunity to interact with private sector representatives.

Kigali, Rwanda, 15 March 2018: Mr. Mourad Ben Dhiab, Secretary General (SG) of the African Union, Commission (AUC) and Mr. Claude Nikobisanezwe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Cooperation & EAC of the Republic of Rwanda, representing the host country, on Thursday 15 March 2018, signed a host agreement for hosting the meetings of the Permanent Representatives Committee, the Eighteenth Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council and the Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
