Deputy Chairperson Mwencha meets UK Parliamentary Group Members

Addis Ababa, 13 November 2013 – The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Erastus Mwencha on 13 November 2013 received in audience a delegation of the Africa All Parliamentary Group in the UK Parliament led by Lord Steel, on a working visit to the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The other members of the delegation were Lord Chidgey, Lord Cameron, Mrs. Victoria Crawford and Mrs. Tamar.

The personalities exchanged on possible cooperation between the African Union and the UK in different development area including agriculture and infrastructure. The parliamentarians were very interested in the promotion of agriculture in Africa especially as the year 2014 has been proclaimed year of Agriculture by the African Heads of State and Government.
