Background: The African Union Commission and the Federal Government of Germany are holding their annual bilateral negotiations: The focus of this year’s commitment is on agricultural development through enhancement of agricultural skills. The delegation of the African Union Commission is chaired by H.E. Mrs. Fatima Haram Acyl, Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission. The German delegation will be chaired by H.E. Guenter Nooke, the German Chancellor's Personal Representative for Africa in the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Germany is planning to make further pledges in support of various fields of the African Union Commission. The negotiations will conclude with a Signing Ceremony of the Summary record for African-German Cooperation 2016.
