The 5th PATTEC Steering Committee meeting was held on 30th November 2016 at the Africa Union Commission Headquarters, Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The SC meeting commended the 15th PATTEC Meeting for coming up with key recommendations and adopted the report with minor proposals to refine the wording. The meeting was attended by the key PATTEC Steering Committee members.

Discussions were made on the issue of resource mobilization, need of enhancing advocacy component of PATTEC initiative, linkage of the PATTEC initiative with other continental major development initiatives such as CAADP and Agenda 2063.
