What: Depositing of the instruments of ratification of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by the Special Envoy of the Republic of Kenya and Republic of Ghana.

Who: The AUC Chairperson will receive the Special Envoy of the Republic of Kenya and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana.

Background: The Assembly Decision was made during the 10th Extraordinary Session of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), that all Member States of the African Union to sign and ratify the Agreement establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in order to usher its entry into force as expeditiously as possible. Kenya and Ghana will be the first countries to deposit the instruments of ratification.
