Background
In line with Agenda 2063 objective to places science, technology and innovation at the epicentre of Africa’s socio-economic development and growth through the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa. The African Union partnered with the Associazione Luca Coscioni and Science for Democracy to organise the 6th world congress for freedom of scientific research under the theme “The right to enjoy the benefits of science, an African perspective”
The Congress will bring together policy makers, scientists, academia, media etc, to discuss the promotion of scientific culture, open access to science, vegetal biotechnologies, rare, infectious and non-transmissible diseases as well as aerospace. The meeting will most importantaly also promote the partcipataion and contribution of women in Science.
