Background

Intergenerational Dialogues have been a critical and meaningful approach used by the African Union Youth Envoy to reform decision making and as a tool to bridge the generational gap in Africa. In this regard, the presentation of the Manifesto culminates into the intergenerational dialogue on the Future of Feminism, Gender Equality and Leadership featuring prominent senior and youth leaders to critically and meaningfully discuss the decade of action towards the achievement of Agenda 2030, the theme of the year of the African Union on Silencing the Guns by 2020 as well as the role and meaningful engagement of African Youth in the Generation Equality Forums and Action Coalitions Leadership process. The Africa Young Women Manifesto is the result of convening five regional Barazas/ consultations hosted in October 2020, with young women, ministers, ambassadors and partners.
