Addis Ababa 8 February 2016 - The African Union Commission (AUC) and the Government of New Zealand have published the third edition of the African Union Handbook 2016 - a comprehensive and up-to-date guide to the African Union system.
Copies of the handbook were distributed to Heads of State and Foreign Ministers at the opening of the January Summit at the AU Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year’s edition is published in both English and French. For the second year running the Government of Cameroon has provided support for the French edition.
Modelled on the United Nations Handbook, a publication that has been produced by the New Zealand Government for over 50 years, the African Union Handbook is reference guide for people working in all parts of the African Union system as well as the African Union’s many partners and wider civil society.

The African Union Handbook 2016 is available in the Directorate of Information and Communications of the AU Commission; and a PDF version can be downloaded from the African Union website: www.au.int and the website of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade www.mfat.govt.nz.
