Communiqué on the Visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of venezuela to the Headquarters of the African Union Commission
Addis Ababa, 24 February 2018: On behalf of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, currently on mission outside the headquarters, the Commissioner for Economic Affairs of the African Union, Victor Harison, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, today, in Addis Ababa.
The Foreign Minister briefed the Commissioner on the situation in Venezuela, in view of the upcoming presidential elections planned for this April. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on the partnership between Africa and South America and how best to revive it.
