This afternoon, H.E. George Orina, Ambassador of Kenya to Ethiopia & Permanent Representative to the AU, paid a courtesy call on the AUC Chairperson. Ambassador Orina conveyed a message of congratulations on the Chairperson’s election & reaffirmed Kenya’s support to his leadership at the AUC.

The Chairperson expressed deep appreciation for Kenya’s steadfast support, particularly President Ruto’s leadership on AU institutional reforms, climate action, & regional integration. He also commended Ambassador Orina’s active contribution to the Sub-Committee on Budgetary, Financial and Administrative Matters, underscoring its pivotal role in advancing the AUC reform agenda.

The Chairperson looks forward to visiting Kenya in the near future to consult with President Ruto & deepen collaboration on strategic priorities.
