This morning, the IGAD Special Envoy for Sudan, H.E. @lawrncekorbandy, briefed the Chairperson of the AU Commission on IGAD’s ongoing efforts to support peace in Sudan. The Envoy reaffirmed his commitment to working in close alignment with the AU High-Level Panel on Sudan. Both the Chairperson & Ambassador Korbandy reiterated their call for an immediate cessation of hostilities & underscored their shared commitment to a Sudanese-led & Sudanese-owned political process aimed at restoring constitutional order & achieving lasting peace.
