The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the occasion of their Independence Day.
On this historic day, the African Union joins the people of Lesotho in celebrating the nation’s remarkable journey of sovereignty, unity, and resilience. The Chairperson commends the progress achieved by Lesotho in advancing peace, stability, and socio-economic development, while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
The Chairperson reaffirms and reiterates African Union’s continued commitment to working closely with the Government and people of Lesotho in pursuit of the aspirations of Agenda 2063 - towards a peaceful, prosperous, and integrated Africa.
On behalf of the African Union, the Chairperson wishes the Kingdom of Lesotho continued peace, prosperity, and success.
