The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, today received H.E. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of #Cuba.
Their discussions underscored the historic and enduring bonds between Africa & Cuba, rooted in shared values and solidarity.
The Chairperson commended Cuba’s steadfast support to Africa, particularly in the fields of health & education.
Minister Rodríguez applauded the AU’s leadership & its strong voice on the global stage, notably in advancing regional integration, infrastructure development, peace, & stability across the continent.
The Chairperson & Minister Rodriguez reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening AU–Cuba relations & to advancing multilateral cooperation, including through the African Union & the Community of Latin American & Caribbean States (CELAC).
