AUC Chairperson held a productive meeting with H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of Mission of the People’s Republic of #China to the AU
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, held a productive meeting with H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of Mission of the People’s Republic of #China to the AU.
They discussed the strong China–Africa partnership & reflected on the positive outcomes of the 2024 FOCAC Beijing Summit, including the proposed Initiative on Cooperation Supporting Africa’s Modernisation for possible launch at the upcoming G20 Summit.
The Chairperson welcomed the Initiative as aligned with Agenda 2063 & the AfCFTA, & him & Amb. Feng reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic AU–China partnership in the spirit of mutual respect & shared prosperity.
