Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.

H.E President William Samoei Ruto (PhD), President of the Republic of Kenya and the African Union Champion on Institutional Reform. H.E. Ruto was appointed during the 37th Assembly of Heads of State and Government in February 2024 to champion the AU Institutional Reform process taking over from the H.E Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda who led the implementation of the reform process since 2016.

In Lomé, Togo, the Chairperson of the AU Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, was today received by H.E. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé (@FEGnassingbe), President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Togo, at the Presidential Palace in Lome.
The Chairperson & President Gnassingbé, in his capacity as the AU-designated Lead Mediator on the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), held consultations on advancing African-led efforts to restore peace, security, and stability in the eastern DRC.
Chairperson Youssouf arrived in Lomé this morning accompanied by the AU Panel of Facilitators; - H.E. Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria; H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, former President of Kenya; H.E. @SahleWorkZewde, former President of Ethiopia; H.E. @OfficialMasisi, former President of Botswana, & former H.E. Catherine Samba Panza, former President of the Central African Republic .The Panel is mandated to support the AU-led mediation process through high-level engagement, confidence-building, and coordination with regional initiatives aimed at a sustainable political solution.
