Platform (PP) Meeting is an annual continental forum which brings together
stakeholders in African agriculture and food security. CAADP aims to address challenges in order to consolidate and accelerate progress towards agricultural transformation in Africa.

Member States review catalytic framework to end AIDS, TB and malaria by 2030

Lusaka, Zambia- 03 December 2015-African Union Member States and Regional Economic Communities meeting last week reviewed the draft catalytic framework to end AIDS, TB and Malaria in Africa by 2030. The meeting aligned the catalytic framework with the global and continental strategic directions including the 2013 Abuja Declaration, Agenda 2063 and the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals. The AIDS, TB and Malaria agenda remains high on Africa’s political agenda as the most affected continent.

Harare, Zimbabwe-03 December 2015- African leaders and parliaments gathering in Harare Tuesday to mark the World AIDS Day called for sustained leadership to fast track current efforts to end AIDS by 2030. This year the continental commemorations were celebrated under the theme “sustaining visionary leadership to end AIDS by 2030” during the flagship International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA).

Le Bourget, Paris, France, 1 December 2015. Africa today sent an unequivocal message of solidarity and unity of purpose at the official opening of the Africa Pavilion at the UNFCCC COP 21 in Paris. Speaking at the high level opening, President Yayi Boni of Benin, was resolute that the Africa is not at the negotiating table with a begging bowl.
