Park Geun-hyemet with H.E Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC) today Friday 27 May 2016 while on an official visit to the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.The two leaders concluded a series of agreements, which will strengthen cooperation on the areas of education and training as well as industry development.

Members of the diplomatic corps in Ethiopia,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am most delighted to be the first president of the Republic of Korea to address the African Union which embodies the aspirations of one billion Africans for peace, harmony and prosperity.

As I stand here in this particular hall,
I am reminded of Madiba's indomitable faith in human dignity, equality and freedom.

Debrezeit, Ethiopia 24 May 2016: The African Union Commission (AUC) has developed a draft Five Year Priority Programme that seeks to unlock employment opportunities, eradicate poverty and stimulate inclusive development in Africa.
The First Five Year Priority Programme on Employment, Poverty Eradication and Inclusive Development (5YPP), was developed at the request of the 24th African Union Assembly of Heads of State and Government (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, January 2015).

Ministers adopt Africa’s key health policies

Geneva, Switzerland, 21 May 2016- Ahead of the Wold Health Assembly African Ministers of Health met on Saturday and adopted key health policy instruments that will provide the strategic direction for the continent for the next fifteen years. These health policy instruments were finalised by Member State Health experts meeting in Addis Ababa in April this year for consideration by health ministers.

Africa agrees on common position to the United Nations High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS

Geneva, Switzerland, 21 May 2016- Ministers of Health meeting ahead of the World Health Assembly on Saturday deliberated and agreed on a Common African Position (CAP) to the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS that will be taking place in New York from 8 to 10 June 2016.

I am honoured to be with you tonight. This occasion marks the 53rd Anniversary of the founding of the Organization of the African Unity, now the African Union.
